ACTIVITIES

FALL FESTIVAL

During the fall we have our Fall Festival which is a wonderful way for our students and their families to get together and play.  We have many games for the children along with our "Silent Auction" for the adults. The "Pumpkin Patch" has become a big hit for all! And there's always lots of good food to eat!

TRUNK OR TREAT

Redeemer Lutheran Church & School has a annual "Trunk or Treat." For years the children love coming dressed in their costumes and parading around the parking lot to collect candy from the trunk of vehicles that have been decorated. It's a fun and safe way to enjoy Halloween and fellowship as we have a "cookout" afterwards.

THANKSGIVING FEAST

Each year we have school wide "Thanksgiving Feast" in which the parents can come and enjoy lunch with their child before our Thanksgiving break. Our K4 and K5 students have their own "Feast" in which they prepare their meal. It's such a treat watching them as they work hard to peel potatoes, mix fruit salad, decorate cookies and otherwise participate in the preparation of their lunch.

CHRISTMAS PRODUCTIONS

During our time before the Christmas break our students work hard on their "Christmas Play". They so enjoy dressing up and performing for their parents in this special and joyous season.

SPRING PRODUCTIONS

Our spring time productions give the children a chance to sing for joy as our school year starts to wind down toward the summer.

ANNUAL "FATHER-DAUGHTER" DANCE

A new tradition started year before last with the addition of our "Father-Daughter" dance sponsored by Troop 58 of the Girl Scouts. It's a wonderful way for our fathers to spend time with their daughters and have a lot of fun! This year's theme was western and a great time was had by all!

FIELD DAY

This is a fun time for all the students to participate in different activities that bring them together as our school year winds down. They enjoy playing the many different games that challenge them in a non-competitive way.

NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK

In March of each year we celebrate with fun activities including a parade and picnic lunch with our Parents.

FIELD TRIPS

All classes participate with field trips to various places. Sixth grade takes a annual field trip to swim with the manatees. Seventh grade goes to Selma, AL to learn about Civil Rights and the Civil War. Eighth grade travels to Washington, D.C. to see how our government puts to practice what the children have learned in their Civics studies.. All other classes go to local and out of town museums, exhibits, plays, along with some "fun" trips! Parents are encouraged to go on these field trips.

MISC ACTIVITIES

Occasionally we have other activities which the children really like:

Kiss The Pig Contest - Raising funds for the 8th Grade trip to Washington, D.C.
