"OUR SCHOOL"

    At Redeemer Lutheran School we strongly believe that nothing is more important in the life of a young child than a thorough and meaningful Christian Education, an education that teaches the young person to be a better Christian person in all responsibilities and relationships. We have weekly Chapel services along with daily Prayer and Devotion that also includes the study of God's Word through Bible study and memory work.

     A low teacher-to-student ratio affords us the opportunity to work more closely with our students. Our Language Arts program includes: Reading, English, Spelling, Writing, Phonics and the Accelerated Reading program. We have our own Library that the children utilize for class work, reports, and the fun of reading. Religion is taught in all classes and is included as part of the child's grade. Excellent scores on standardized achievement tests reflect our commitment to academic excellence.

     Our children's work week is enriched with Art classes and Music. Band is offered for students in 5th grade and above with two levels to accommodate different skill levels. All the children participate in Physical Education classes two times per week.

     Organized sports include: basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and football. We are members of the Catholic Youth Sports League. There are two playgrounds and an athletic field located on a safe five acre campus.

     We have computers in all classrooms and 25 computers in our computer lab that each class gets the opportunity to work on, especially helpful in this technology age. The students learn skills that include: typing, internet skills, using Microsoft programs and working with learning software for the K4 thru 5th graders.

     Our Parents (and most of the children!)  appreciate the uniform policy which eliminates some of the hassles associated with dressing for school.

     There are many family activities that are available throughout the year which include: "Fall Festival", "Trunk or Treat", "Thanksgiving Feast", and special dances just to name a few. Our Parent/Teacher League is very active in our school and all are invited to join.

     Extended School Care is available from 6:30am to 6:00 pm at a low hourly rate for those who require this service.

     We are located about seven minutes from Downtown Pensacola and a mile from the front entrance to the Naval Air Station Pensacola, home of the world famous "Blue Angels". Beautiful Pensacola Beach is a short drive from Downtown Pensacola.
